APPLETON (AP) -- The head of the Democratic National Committee will be one of the guest speakers when the state Democratic party holds its convention in Appleton next week.
DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz has been confirmed as one of the speakers. The Florida congresswoman will be joined by Ed Schultz, a nationally syndicated radio and talk-show host.
The convention will be held June 8 and 9, several days after the June 5 recall election.
State party chair Mike Tate said Tuesday, May 29th, the focus will be on electing U.S. Rep. Tammy Baldwin to the U.S. Senate, re-electing President Barack Obama and retaking control of the state Legislature.
The state Republican Party held its convention earlier this month in Green Bay.
