OAK CREEK (WITI) -- A We Energies spokeswoman tells FOX6 News four peregrine falcon chicks have arrived at the Oak Creek Power Plant nest box!
Video was captured on Tuesday morning, May 13th showing the baby falcons being fed.
This year, We Energies has added additional live streams at we-energies.com/falcons -- giving the public an inside look at four different peregrine falcon nesting sites.
We Energies will update its live video stream, depending on falcon activity, at power plants in Oak Creek, Pleasant Prairie, Wauwatosa and Port Washington. Activity at two other sites also can be viewed via hourly still photos.
The falcons have produced eggs at six sites -- including the Oak Creek Power Plant.
The first peregrine falcon chicks of the season hatched at the Oak Creek Power Plant on Mother's Day!
All four chicks have now arrived at that site.
We Energies officials say if all goes as expected, the peregrine falcon recovery program will reach a major milestone this year – more than 200 peregrines produced at We Energies facilities.
