Fire officials said a transformer had blown out, causing safety concerns due to downed wires, and there was a significant delay involving We Energies. Multiple water sources were used due to the village of Waterford "water system being low due to the storms" – presenting another challenge to firefighters.

The fire was deemed under control just before 11 p.m.

The estimated loss of the structure is $500,000 to $600,000, officials said, while damage to an RV was estimated at $25,000 to $30,000.

The Racine County Fire Investigation Task Force was called to the scene.
