Waukesha Co. Sheriff Daniel Trawicki announces retirement

WAUKESHA (WITI) -- Waukesha County Sheriff Daniel Trawicki on Wednesday, January 8th announced he will not be seeking re-election for sheriff at the end of this term, and will retire.

Trawicki is set to retire on December 31st, 2014 after almost 35 years of service to Waukesha County.

Trawicki started as a cadet with the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department in 1979, and worked his way through the ranks.

He has spent the last 12 years as Waukesha County Sheriff.
