Waukesha Expo Market offers antiques, plus a way to give back
WAUKESHA (WITI) -- A flea market, featuring antiques and collectibles took over the Waukesha Expo Market at the Waukesha County Fairgrounds Arena this weekend, March 9th and 10th.
This popular treasure hunt also allowed visitors to give back.
The Waukesha Expo Market offered variety -- from collectible comic books and antique oil paintings to aged ceramics and one-of-a-kind jewelry.
"We never know what we`re going to find and that`s the fun of it," Christine Callahan said.
Christine and Arthur Callahan said the Waukesha Expo Market is one of their favorite places to find one-of-a-kind items.
"It`s fun to see what you can find for a reasonable price," Arthur Callahan said.
"Sometimes I don`t know I want it until I find it," Christine Callahan said.
Whether it's an old item to spruce up a new home or a playful toy to tap into your inner child, this place helped people reminisce.
"Nice nostalgic feeling when you`re in here," Christine Callahan said.
Beyond the tables of collectibles from 59 vendors, three boxes sat prominently, where customers could donate non-perishable food items for the Hunger Task Force.
Last year, the market was one of the Hunger Task Force's biggest donors.
"We really want to break last year`s record and help everybody in need of that food," Jeff Herbert, owner of the Waukesha Expo Market said.
This was the last show for the Waukesha Expo Market this season. It will start up again in October.
