Jet makes hard landing at Crites Field; pilot, passenger uninjured
WAUKESHA, Wis. - A Cirrus Vision Jet that is based at the Waukesha County Airport made a hard landing at Crites Field in Waukesha on Wednesday morning, Feb. 8. It happened shortly before 10 a.m.
A FOX6 crew at the scene reports that the plane was off the runway – with its nose in the grass.
A pilot and one passenger were on board. Both were uninjured and were able to exit the aircraft without assistance.
At this time, the airport is open, and all operations are normal.
The airport is working in cooperation with local emergency personnel, the FAA and NTSB. The NTSB will determine the official cause of the incident at a later date.
