Waukesha police arrested two women after a shooting at the Extended Stay on Monday night, Oct. 17.

Multiple 911 calls came in around 7:40 p.m. Monday, police said. There was a large crowd when officers arrived at the scene on Plaza Court near Bluemound Road, creating confusion.

According to police, officers were "receiving convoluted inaccurate information from highly emotional and angry people." Police later learned those people were family members and/or witnesses who "intentionally provided inaccurate information" and "hindered" the investigation.
