Wauwatosa crash, Mayfair and North Ave; pedestrian injured

WAUWATOSA, Wis. - A vehicle hit a pedestrian near Mayfair Mall on Thursday evening, Jan. 2.
The Wauwatosa Police Department said it happened just after 7 p.m. east of the intersection of Mayfair and North Ave.
A vehicle was traveling westbound on North Ave, attempting to make a left turn onto Mayfair when it struck a pedestrian who was running southbound through traffic.
Police said the driver of the vehicle had a green turn arrow and there is no indication the driver was speeding or impaired. The pedestrian was not at a designated crosswalk.
The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
The pedestrian was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
