MILWAUKEE -- The We Energies Power Outage Map, as of about 10:00 p.m. on Monday, December 28th, was showing more than 1,600 without power in the Milwaukee area.
A Winter Storm Warning took effect on Monday morning, and remains in effect until 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
The FOX6 Weather Experts said we could expect snow, sleet, freezing rain and high winds on Monday with this storm.
The sleet, freezing rain and wind was expected to lead to power outages -- with ice forming on power lines and the high wind causing issues.
The FOX6 Weather Experts said we could see wind gusts at 40-50 miles-per-hour.
The winds were expected to die down on Monday night.
