“We’re thrilled:" Southridge Mall to welcome five new retail, dining and entertainment options

GREENDALE -- Southridge Mall announced Wednesday, July 20th that it will welcome five new retail, dining and entertainment options, including the highly anticipated Explorium Brewpub and Marcus Cinemas’ brand new eight screen theatre-dining concept.

“We’re thrilled to welcome these first-in-market concepts and popular national retailers in the upcoming months,” said Mary Mokwa, general manager at Southridge Mall.  “Upon the completion of our mall-wide renovation, we committed to our shoppers that we’d continue to evolve and now, nearly four years later, Southridge Mall continues to attract exciting names in retail and dining to meet shopper demand.”

Joining these new dining and entertainment offerings are also Windsor Fashions and Burger King, which will open this fall, and O Chi Reflexology, which is expected to open this month.  According to a press release, these additions join the center’s ongoing retail boom, which includes the recent opening of Sephora, Torrid and Nancy’s Travel, as well as renovations to several existing stores.

The Explorium Brewpub, a new, full-service brewery and restaurant, will open on the upper level near Buca di Beppo this fall. This new 6,000 square foot drinking and dining establishment will feature a 10-barrel brewhouse and a full-service bar with 24 craft beers on tap, including eight family recipes and eight original Explorium beers. Restaurant goers will also enjoy a large entrée menu featuring house-cut steaks, wood-fired pizza, bar bites and more.

Marcus Cinema’s will open a brand new eight-screen theatre and dining concept at the center. The pilot location will feature full food and beverage services for movie goers in each of the eight theaters. The theater will be located in the mall’s northeast parking lot near a soon-to-be constructed high-end residential apartment community, which is scheduled to open during the summer of 2017.

This fall, the center will welcome Windsor Fashions, a specialty retailer offering a selection of on-trend apparel, accessories and shoes for today’s contemporary and fashion-forward women at affordable prices. “Dressing up since 1937,” Windsor features a large selection of looks that inspire and empower women including formal evening gowns, cocktail dresses, timeless tops and bottoms, and seasonal looks inspired by designers. Windsor Fashions will be located on the lower level near Macy’s.

For shoppers seeking a quick-service food option, Burger King will also be opening in the food court. The popular eatery joins other favorites like Starbucks, Auntie Anne’s, Subway and Sbarro, plus the soon to be remodeled Burrito Xpress.

O Chi Reflexology, a full-service massage and acupressure spa, will open this month on the upper level near Aldo. In addition to massage services, the spa will also sell a large assortment of body lotions and oils.

The future addition of these new retail, dining and entertainment options follow the recent openings of Sephora, which is now open in JCPenney, Torrid and Nancy’s Travel, plus the completion of recent remodels at Finish Line, Starbuck’s and T-Mobile.
