West Allis police arrest bank robbery suspect
WEST ALLIS -- Police arrested a bank robbery suspect on Thursday, December 6th outside of the bank he allegedly robbed.
Police were called to the Equitable Bank branch at 74th and Oklahoma Ave. just after 10 a.m. When they arrived on the scene, they located the suspect outside the bank and took him into custody.
Police say the suspect is a 26-year-old man who is reportedly currently homeless in the West Allis area. He is previously from Tigerton, Wisconsin.
Police say no weapon was displayed or recovered during their investigation. A note was presented demanding cash, and the cash obtained by the man was recovered.
The robbery is now under investigation by the West Allis Police Department.
There were no known injuries related to the robbery.
