West Allis police chase; dashcam video released, driver charged

West Allis police have released to FOX6 News on Thursday, Feb. 6 dashcam video of a police chase that unfolded at the beginning of December 2024. 

25-year-old Mozell Parker of Milwaukee was arrested following this miles-long chase. He now faces the following criminal counts:

  • Second-degree recklessly endangering safety
  • Operating a motor vehicle to flee or in an attempt to elude an officer
  • Possession of methamphetamine

What we know:

According to the criminal complaint, a West Allis police officer spotted a "heavily tinted 2017 Chrysler Pacifica with no registration" traveling near 59th and Burnham around 2 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5. When the officer's squad started to follow the vehicle, the driver ignored a red light. The officer activated his lights and siren to attempt a traffic stop.

The complaint went on to say the vehicle continued to travel at a high rate of speed. During the police chase, other officers successfully deployed stop sticks just north of Burnham Street. The complaint says "the vehicle continued northbound and ignored the red traffic lights at W. Greenfield Ave. and W. National Avenue."

Later, the vehicle's tires showed signs of deflation as it continued northbound through a red light at W. Bluemound Road. When the vehicle turned onto W. Wells Street, the pursuing officer conducted a PIT (Precision Immobilization Technique) maneuver on the passenger side of the vehicle -- and the vehicle came to a stop at Hawley and Wells in Milwaukee.

Officers took the driver, identified as the defendant, into custody.

During a search of the vehicle, officers located methamphetamine pills, marijuana, a black digital scale, and suboxone strips.

What's next:

Online court records show Parker pleaded not guilty to the charges against him on Jan. 28. He is due back in court for a hearing on April 1.
