WEST ALLIS, Wis. - Two people were arrested following an early morning police chase that started in West Allis on Thursday, Jan. 30.

What we know:
According to the West Allis Police Department, at about 2:45 a.m., West Allis Police officers tried to perform a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle.
The vehicle fled, and a pursuit started.

Wauwatosa Police deployed stop sticks and the vehicle stopped near 55th and Lisbon.
Two people then got out of the vehicle and ran. Police chased after the driver and were able to take him into custody. The driver was identified as an 18-year-old Milwaukee man.
The passenger, a 20-year-old Milwaukee man, was taken into custody after he was tracked down by a K-9.
The driver was arrested for eluding an officer, operating without a valid license, possession of fentanyl and possession of cocaine. The passenger was arrested and cited for obstructing an officer.
