WEST ALLIS -- When it comes to business at the State Fair, we usually think about the food and great music. One thing every fair goer has to contend with is difficult parking situations, and costs related to it. Homeowners near the fair open up their yards, offering a cheaper alternative to the State Fair parking lots.

Homeowner Sabrina Socolick has plenty to smile about during the Wisconsin State Fair, because the fair brings dozens of people to her backyard. She says, "We normally get, I wanna say, approximately 50 cars a day or so coming in and out all the time."

At $5.00 a pop it's an easy to way to make $250 a day working from home. Socolick tells us she appreciates the extra money, which helps fund extra family trips.

Dozens of homeowners wave flags hoping to draw homeowners to their yard. Even actual businesses near the fair grounds are hoping to get a few extra bucks by selling parking.

One homeowner says the parking business is so lucrative, he takes vacation from his regular job to make money from parking cars during State Fair.
