West Allis sexual assault near 70th and National, suspect arrested

The West Allis Police Department is asking for the public's help to identify and locate a suspect wanted for a recent sexual assault.

What we know:

The West Allis Police Department said the reported sexual assault occurred around 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 4, near 70th and National.

Police said the male suspect entered the victim’s residence without consent as she was unloading groceries and began touching the victim after asking her for directions. He fled on foot when the victim shouted for a family member.

The suspect in this incident is described as a Hispanic man in his thirties, approximately 5'6" to 5'8" tall, with a medium build, short, dark hair and a goatee. He was wearing tan work boots, gray pants, a black jacket over a blue "Florida" tank top and a black baseball hat with flames on the brim.

According to police, the suspect may speak Spanish and limited English, and was last seen near 76th and National.

"Lock that door behind you. Every time. Never leave your doors unlocked. Have as many motion lights in your home as well," Roufus said. "I don’t think any area isn’t dangerous anymore – to be honest. We live in a very cruel world in 2025."
