Wisconsin County Forests Association license plates now offered

MADISON, Wis. - The Wisconsin Department of Transportation on Thursday announced the offering of a new specialty license plate from the Wisconsin County Forests Association.

WisDOT said the Wisconsin County Forests Association is a nonprofit organization that works to educate people and sustain more than 2.4 million acres of healthy and productive forests for recreation. It also provides materials to the state’s forest product’s industry.

What you can do:
To receive this special plate, WisDOT said residents need to commit to a $25 annual donation. That donation will be used to help advocate for and promote sustainable forest management in the state.
Fees for the special license plates include:
- $25 annual contribution to organization; the donation may be tax deductible
- One-time $15 issuance fee
- Plates may be personalized for an additional $15 fee each year
- Regular vehicle registration fee (which may include wheel tax, if applicable)

The new plate joins a growing list of 61 special license plates, which WisDOT said can be viewed and ordered online. Plates are mailed to the customer.
Specialty plates and regular license plates can be ordered and renewed online as well.
