MILWAUKEE - Officials with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services on Thursday reminded residents that wearing a mask can still make a difference in COVID-19 spread as cases decline.
The DHS said there is still more work to do before masks can start collecting dust, urging the public to do their part in a collective process as the omicron variant remains highly transmissible.
Officials said mask recommendations tend to be based on community transmission. Right now, all of Wisconsin's 72 counties are in the critically-high category.
