Wisconsin's Most Wanted: Alejandro Tellez wanted for sex assault

Investigators are searching for an Illinois man accused of sexually assaulting a girl in Waukesha County. U.S. Marshals say she is not his only victim.

"The guy’s a predator," the U.S. Marshal on the case said. "He’s a danger to society."

"He needs to be behind bars," the marshal said. "Every day that he’s out, another victim, another person could fall victim to him."

Brookfield police first learned of Tellez in 2023. Investigators say he was chatting with a girl online and later drove to Wisconsin for sex. She became pregnant.

"He sexually assaulted this female and recorded it and then returned back to Illinois," the marshal said.

Investigators say Tellez met up with a 12-year-old girl in Portage, Indiana around that same time. Authorities say Tellez had been talking to the girl on Snapchat and later drove to Indiana and sexually assaulted her.

"He clearly, based on the investigations, has a preference for younger girls and that’s who he’s targeting online," the marshal said.

Police then searched his Illinois home, and it led to more charges when authorities say they found child pornography.

"Anytime kids are involved as victims in any case, it gives you more incentive and more drive to catch these people," the marshal said.

Tellez has ties to Illinois, Wisconsin and Indiana. He often goes by "Alex."
