Woman arrested for OWI, 2nd offense, accused of striking Dodge County deputy's squad car
BEAVER DAM -- A 46-year-old woman was arrested after sheriff's officials said she drove drunk and struck a marked Dodge County Sheriff's Office squad car early Saturday morning, Jan. 26.
According to sheriff's officials, the deputy was helping the driver of a disabled semi that was blocking the left turn lane on N. Spring Street at County Highway B. A car heading north on Spring Street struck the deputy's vehicle from behind while the deputy was inside.
The woman sustained minor injuries and was treated on scene by paramedics. The deputy was uninjured. Both vehicles suffered moderate damage.
The woman was arrested for OWI, second offense, and inattentive driving.
The crash is being investigated by the Wisconsin State Patrol.
