Woman facing homicide charges after man fatally stabbed at Motel 6 in Glendale
GLENDALE -- A 28-year-old Milwaukee woman was charged with second degree reckless homicide after prosecutors said she fatally stabbed a 46-year-old man at a Motel 6 in Glendale on Tuesday, June 18.
According to the Glendale Police Department, officers were called to the motel around 1:25 a.m. on Tuesday to investigate the stabbing. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, who was later identified as Jermaine Renix of Milwaukee.
Shaniqua Alexander was taken into custody following the incident, was charged with second degree reckless homicide, use of a dangerous weapon.
Police said it was believed Alexander and Renix were acquainted with each other.
Alexander made her initial appearance in court on Saturday, June 22. Probable cause was found for further proceedings, and a preliminary hearing was scheduled for July 2. Cash bond was set at $50,000.
