Fatal crash near Milwaukee's lakefront
The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash that occurred on Lincoln Memorial Drive at Water Tower Road.
MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) is investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash that occurred on Lincoln Memorial Drive at Water Tower Road on Thursday afternoon, May 11.
The wreck happened around 1 p.m. Thursday. MCSO officials confirm shortly before the collision, a 19-year-old man was driving southbound on Lincoln Memorial Drive – and a 63-year-old man was traveling north. At some point, the northbound vehicle driven by the older man turned left to get onto Water Tower Road. That is when the southbound vehicle struck the northbound vehicle.
The older driver suffered injuries in the crash. Despite life-saving efforts, he was pronounced deceased on the scene.

The 19-year-old was arrested. The cause and all possible contributing factors the crash remain under investigation.
