Wrong-way driver arrested early Monday morning following foot pursuit

RIVER HILLS (WITI) -- A wrong-way driver was arrested early Monday morning, August 18th following a foot pursuit.

According to officials, the driver was heading northbound in the southbound lanes of I-43 near Silver Spring

Police say the driver eventually exited the vehicle and fled into a field near Green Tree and River Road.

After a foot chase, the individual was caught and arrested.

No injuries were sustained as a result of this incident.
