Young woman's body found stuffed in suitcase left at downtown San Diego hotel
SAN DIEGO – Amid the industrial trash cans lining the side of the mustard-colored, downtown San Diego hotel, investigators made a grisly find Wednesday, April 6th.
Inside a suitcase left in front of the bins, they found the body of a "young" woman, officials told KSWB.
San Diego police cleared the area along 7th Avenue between Ash and A streets surrounding the Chadwick Hotel, taping off the driveway along the side of the building where the dark-colored suitcase was found.
A man who lives in the neighborhood was walking on the sidewalk when he spotted the black suitcase, police said. He took a closer look, determined it was suspicious and contacted police.
Information about the "young" woman, including a possible age or identity, was not released.
It was not disclosed if police are actively searching for a suspect.
The cause of the woman's death is not yet known.
