Zoom experienced widespread outages Wednesday.

The video conferencing platform was down for a couple of hours Wednesday afternoon before coming back online just after 4 p.m. ET.

What we know:

Zoom confirmed Wednesday that the widely used teleconferencing platform was experiencing outages due to "a communication error between Zoom’s domain registrar, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy Registry, which resulted in GoDaddy Registry mistakenly shutting down zoom.us domain."
