Learn how to make a Shamrock shake with less calories
St. Patrick's Day is just around the corner -- and what better way to celebrate than with a Shamrock Shake. But, this isn't just any shake, it's a 'skinny' Shamrock shake. In this week's Dining with Duria, Angelica shows us how to make a delicious shake with less the calories.
Skinny Shamrock Shake
Serves: 2
Ingredients:
1 cup fat-free vanilla frozen yogurt
¼ cup fat-free Cool Whip
4 ice cubes
½ cup Almond Milk
1/8-1/4 tsp peppermint extract
2 packets of Splenda, Stevia or other noncalorie sweetener
2 drops of green food coloring
Whipped cream, maraschino cherry & sprinkles (optional)
Instructions:
Blend all ingredients together. Add whipped cream, maraschino cherry & sprinkles on top if you so desire.
NOTE: If you want to make your shake “dairy-free,” substitute the frozen yogurt & Cool Whip for 1 banana and ¼ of an avocado.
