MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- With an exciting 94-88 victory Monday night, April 27th, the Milwaukee Bucks forced Game 6 vs. the Chicago Bulls in the NBA playoffs, and that game will be played Thursday night, April 30th at the BMO Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee. Ahead of the big game, Bucks fans gathered for a pep rally outside the Bradley Center Thursday afternoon.
Some Bucks fans said regardless of the result of Thursday evening's big game, they're just proud the Bucks have made it this far. But of course, everyone's hoping for a win!
Just as excited as Bucks fans -- owners of bars and restaurants located near the Bradley Center.
"If this were a typical Thursday night, we`d probably see about 100 people walk in the door. We`re bracing ourselves for about 300 or 400 people to walk in before the game and then afterwards as well," Bobby Wiltgen, owner of "Who's on Third" said.
Who's On Third
Who's on Third is located on N. Old World Third Street -- a block away from the Bradley Center. It is an official Milwaukee Bucks bar that just opened a year ago. Wiltgen says when the Bucks win, his bar wins.
"The greatest part for us is realizing people are coming who couldn`t get tickets. They`re coming here and watching the game and it's pretty exciting," Wiltgen said.
Bucks fans say they welcome fans from Chicago, especially if it means helping Milwaukee businesses.
"Fans are fantastic in Milwaukee," Steve Simon said.
Wiltgen says he's watching developments as it relates to the new Milwaukee Bucks arena very closely. He says he would be a huge loss for both his business and the city of Milwaukee as a whole if the Bucks leave.
The NBA has mandated an arena plan be in place by 2017 or the Bucks are gone.
Bucks/Bulls tip-off is set for 6:00 p.m. Thursday.
If the Bucks win Thursday, Game 7 will be played Saturday, May 2nd in Chicago.
