All three Packers quarterbacks threw in practice Tuesday
GREEN BAY (WITI) -- All three Green Bay Packers quarterbacks were in helmets and throwing passes on Tuesday morning, November 26th. Yes, that includes Aaron Rodgers.
Rodgers threw passes with Matt Flynn and Scott Tolzien in the practice. However, they did not do any team drills before the media had to leave.
On Tuesday afternoon, Coach Mike McCarthy said Rodgers is unlikely to play in Thursday’s game at Detroit.
“Aaron Rodgers went through the individual drills and was a limited participant. It does not look like Aaron is going to make it. He feels good but I don’t think he’s going to make it this week,” McCarthy said in his post-practice press conference on Tuesday.
Coach McCarthy has not yet indicated who will be the starting quarterback for the Lions game on Thanksgiving Day. On Tuesday, he said, “Matt Flynn took the starter reps today. That’s where we are."
The 5-5-1 Green Bay Packers take on the 6-5 Detroit Lions at Ford Field in a Thanksgiving Day contest on Thursday, November 28th. No two teams have faced off on Thanksgiving more than the Packers and the Lions.
Kickoff is set for 11:30 a.m. You can watch the game ONLY on FOX6!
