Awesome! Check out the reaction when an Admirals hockey player tells his dad he's going to the Olympics

MILWAUKEE -- It's been a special week for Bobby Butler, one of the Milwaukee Admirals. He learned he's headed to Seoul, South Korea next month as a member of the U.S. Olympic hockey team.

The best part of all -- a video the Admirals shared of Butler breaking the news to his father -- it's gone viral, racking up more than 825,000 views on Twitter since it was posted on New Year's Day. Take a look just below.

Butler is a Marlborough, MA native. The Admirals say he has tallied 13 goals and 12 assists for 25 points in 32 games with the Admirals thus far this season. He leads the team in goals, points, power-play goals (4), and game-winning goals (3). Over his past 11 games Butler has tallied five goals and five assists.

Butler is a three-time American Hockey League All-Star, who has posted 189 points on 99 goals and 90 assists in 251 career AHL contests with the Admirals, Binghamton Senators, Albany Devils, and San Antonio Rampage. As a rookie in 2010-11 he was selected to the AHL All-Star contest in the regular season and then led league rookies in post season scoring with 17 points to help the Senators to the Calder Cup Championship.

A Hobey Baker Finalist and Hockey East Player of the Year with New Hampshire in 2010, Butler has a combined 130 games of NHL Experience under his belt with Ottawa, New Jersey, Nashville, and Florida. In those games he totaled 20 goals and 29 assists for 49 points to go along with 28 penalty minutes.

The Milwaukee Admirals are also proud to announce that team alum Jon Blum is also headed to the Olympics for the winter games.
