Badgers wake up bury Gophers
MADISON -- After Sunday's stirring win at Ohio State, the Wisconsin Badgers had to wake up from a first half slumber to put away Minnesota, 52-45 on Tuesday night at the Kohl Center.
Coach Bo Ryan's team made just four of 21 shots in the first half, and trailed 23-16 (the 16 points represented a season-low). But with Jordan Taylor scoring 22 points, Wisconsin clinched a first round bye in the Big Ten Tournament.
The Badgers, ranked 14th and 15th in the polls, improved to 22-8, 11-6 in the conference.
