Bicyclists embark on trip from Metrodome to Lambeau Field
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Two bicyclists have embarked on a seven-day, 277-mile trek from the Metrodome in Minneapolis to Lambeau Field in Green Bay.
Rick and Robin Martinek have called their journey, "Seven Days to Green Bay.'' They departed Monday, September 3rd and plan to be in Green Bay by Sunday, September 9th.
They say the trip has long been on their bucket list. They're also riding for Moms and Neighbors, a charity that benefits mothers in need.
They plan to ride about 40 miles per day. They've invited friends, neighbors and anyone else interested to ride one or several legs with them.
