Big task for boy from Cleveland, Wisconsin named after Brett Favre ahead of HOF induction ceremony

Brett Rybarczyk
Eight-year-old Brett Rybarczyk on Thursday in Canton seemed totally impervious to the pressure he was under -- more concerned with his dance moves than the fact the the 2016 season could not officially begin until he completed his duties.
Meanwhile, three miles away, in downtown Canton -- the long forward pass began.

In what has become a Hall of Fame induction weekend tradition, a ball is passed from kid to kid -- making each youngster hopefully a fan for life -- all the way to the main hall.

That's where Rybarczyk was waiting -- more preoccupied with his football cards than anything else.

Then came a nice surprise! Young Brett was asked to make the final pass. It was fitting because it isn't just coincidence that he shares a name with the MVP of the Hall of Fame's Class of 2016. Rybarczyk was named after Brett Favre.

"In 2007, the Packers were in the NFC Championship Game and, as a matter of fact, I was driving home from work one day and said, 'you know what? Brett would be a great name!'" Matt Rybarczyk said.
"I know that he was a very good thrower, and he, every time he got sacked, he would just get right back up," Brett Rybarczyk said.
Countless kids born in Wisconsin in the 90s were named Brett -- after the Packers legend, but few get to meet him!
