MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee Brewers have the reigning National League Most Valuable Player on the team's roster. But will the team have Ryan Braun on the field at the start of the season?
There is still no answer to that question -- but one should be forthcoming.
Braun reportedly failed a Major League Baseball drug test this winter and has appealed that finding. He is waiting for a ruling on that appeal.
Early Wednesday morning, in an appearance on WKLH, Matt Vasgersian of the MLB Network said his bosses wanted him to reroute from Rangers camp to Brewers camp pending a possible announcement.
Braun is scheduled to arrive at training camp on Friday.
Brewers Manager Ron Roenicke is on record as saying he really isn't spending energy on trying to figure out whether Braun will be suspended at the start of the season or not.
