MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Ryan Braun's first homer of the season wasn't enough, as the Brewers lost to the Colorado Rockies on Tuesday night at Miller Park, 8-4. Braun played long ball with a two-run shot to right off one-time Brewer Jorge De La Rosa, but it was a small-ball uprising that decided the game.
The Rockies sent three batters against Michael Gonzalez in the frame and none of them hit the ball out of the infield. However, all three reached base and ultimately came in to score as the visitors snapped a 4-4 tie and pushed out in front.
Marco Estrada was okay in his first start of the season for Milwaukee, and even drove in a run with a base hit. Game three of the series is Wednesday night.
