Brewers see Red(s), Braun reports abound

MILWAUKEE -- Starting pitcher Wily Peralta and reliever Tyler Thornburg combined for 9 walks, as the Cincinnati Reds gained a split of their 4 game series with a 9-1 win Sunday at Miller Park.
Khris Davis' 6th home run was the Crew's lone highlight.

As the Brewers and their fans await an anticipated Ryan Braun apology, an ESPN report surfaced about Braun calling veteran players to lobby for their support before the results of his drug test came out in February of 2012.

According to the report, Braun told the players that Kenosha's Dino Laurenzi Jr., the collector of his urine sample, was a Cubs fan (an implication that he might work against Braun, because he plays for Chicago's division rival).
Braun, who is Jewish, also reportedly told players that Laurenzi Jr. was an anti-Semite.
According to sources in the report, Braun did this in anticipation of possibly losing his appeal. Instead, he became the first player to win one.
There was no comment from the Braun camp regarding the latest report.
