Brewers stop skid with 4-0 win over Nats
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The Brewers snapped their 6 game losing streak with a 4-0 win over the Nationals on Tuesday night in Washington, but in the process, they lost pitcher Wily Peralta to a hamstring strain.
Peralta was pitching shutout baseball in the 6th inning before he had to leave with one out.
Nats ace Stephen Strasburg worked 7 scoreless innings; the Crew managed to score 4 runs in the 8th. Juan Francisco's 2-run double highlighted the frame.
Jim Henderson was the winning pitcher.
The two teams continue the series Wednesday evening at 5:05.
Before Tuesday's game, Brewers manager Ron Roenicke said that Ryan Braun wouldn't be back until sometime after the all-star break.
