Brewers Sweep away the Rockies
MILWAUKEE -- Some big bats and solid pitching help the Milwaukee Brewers (56-70) sweep the Colorado Rockies at Miller Park. The Brewers picked up their 4th straight win, by a score of 7 to 1. Ryan Braun provided the power. The Brewers left fielder hit 2 home runs and picked up 3 RBI in the afternoon game. Starter Zach Davies (10-6, 4.06 ERA) set the stage with a solid pitching performance. He went 6 innings giving up just a solo home run in the first. Blaine Boyer and Tyler Cravy combined to pitch 3 scoreless innings. The Brewers welcome the Pittsburgh Pirates to Miller park next. They start a 4-game series on Thursday, July 25.
