Crew ends dismal road trip with 4-2 loss to Cards

ST. LOUIS -- Kyle Lohse lost to his former team for the third time this season as the Milwaukee Brewers ended a dismal 10 game road trip with just 2 wins, including Sunday's 4-2 loss.

Lohse (1-5) pitched 6 innings, allowing all 4 runs on a double and 5 singles in the 4th inning.

The game was another classic example of the Crew's inability to hit in the clutch on the trip.

Facing a 4-2 deficit with the bases loaded and nobody out in the 7th inning, hot-hitting Jean Segura popped out; Ryan Braun, who stranded 7 runners, hit into a double play.
Yuniesky Betancourt and Jeff Bianchi (3 rbi in 2 games) each had run-scoring singles for the Brewers; still in last place and back to 8 games below 500, Milwaukee opens a 9 game homestand Monday night against the L.A. Dodgers.
