MILWAUKEE -- FOX Sports Wisconsin and the Milwaukee Bucks have announced plans to televise four iconic games from Bucks’ history throughout the month of October.
Fans will have the opportunity to relive memorable moments in team history weekly leading up to the Bucks’ season opener against the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday, October 26th.
The schedule is as follows, according to a release from FOX Sports Wisconsin officials:
May 2, 1983: The four-game “classics series” starts with a re-air of Game 4 of the 1983 Eastern Conference semifinals vs. the Boston Celtics on Thursday, Oct. 6. Current FOX Sports Wisconsin analyst and Bucks legend Marques Johnson led all scorers with 33 points to complete a surprising four-game sweep of the Celtics.
June 1, 2001: The playoff excitement from the past continues with the Eastern Conference finals Game 6 from the 2000-2001 season, when the Bucks faced off against Allen Iverson and the Philadelphia 76ers. Fans can (re)watch Ray Allen’s then career-high 41 points that forced Game 7 vs. the Sixers.
April 25, 2015: From the Jason Kidd-era, Bucks fans will remember the thrilling Game 4 buzzer-beater victory vs. the Chicago Bulls in 2015. Facing playoff elimination at the BMO Harris Bradley Center, Jerryd Bayless brought Bucks fans to their feet and forced a Game 5.
Dec. 12, 2015: Break out the 24-1 shirts and relive the moment when the Bucks spoiled the Golden State Warriors’ 24-game winning streak last season. Fans will see some of their favorite current Bucks players in action on Monday, Oct. 24, before the 2016-17 season tips off on Wednesday, Oct. 26.
In addition, fans will have an opportunity to engage with Bucks legends, current players and coaches on Twitter during the broadcasts.
Marques Johnson will take over the Bucks’ Twitter account during the game on Thursday, October 6th.
