Frustrations mount in Brewers 5-4 loss to Pirates
MILWAUKEE -- Yovani Gallardo became the latest Brewers starting pitcher to labor as the Brewers lost to the Pittsburgh Pirates 5-4 on Sunday at Miller Park.
Gallardo lasted just 4 innings; he allowed 4 runs while striking out 7 and walking 2; he was removed from the game after throwing 94 pitches, just 54 for strikes.
Getting Gallardo back to form is vital for a team that's lost 17 of its' last 22 games
The Pirates entered the game with a 9-47 record at Miller Park since 2007, but the Crew can't buy a clutch hit, and as long as the starting pitching continues to be abysmal, chances for getting up off the deck look bleak.
Ryan Braun's 3-run double on his bobblehead day was one of the few bright spots.
The Minnesota Twins check in for a brief 2 game series, starting Memorial Day at 1:10.
