Gomez hurt in Brewers 7-4 loss to Braves

MILWAUKEE -- The Brewers lost to the Atlanta Braves, 7-4 on Sunday at Miller Park; and they may have lost the services of center fielder Carlos Gomez. Gomez suffered a left shoulder sprain when he smacked against the wall after making a spectacular catch in the 4th inning. The team is listing their potential all star as day to day.
Seeking a sweep against the division-leading Braves, the Crew fell behind right off the bat when starting pitcher Alfredo Figaro allowed a grand slam home run to Brian McCann.
Figaro gave up 6 runs on 9 hits in just 3 and 1/3rd innings of work.
Atlanta had been shutout in the first 2 games of the series.
Logan Schafer hit a 2 run single for Milwaukee in the 4-run 5th inning; Jonathan Lucroy socked a 2 run homer.
The Brewers have the day off Monday before welcoming in the Chicago Cubs in a battle of cellar-dwellers in the National league Central Division.
