Green Bay Packers buy up more land around Lambeau Field
GREEN BAY (WITI) -- The Green Bay Packers franchise is buying up more land surrounding Lambeau Field.
Records show the team has purchased a strip shopping center for $725,000.
The team plans to develop land west of Lambeau Field to generate non-football revenue.
Currently, the team owns about 62 acres near Lambeau Field. It is assessed at about $45 million.
In addition to the land west of the stadium, the Packers own property south of Lambeau Field -- where it razed about a dozen houses.
