"It’s just a lot of energy:" Fans pumped to take in playoff matchup at "home" at Lambeau Field!

GREEN BAY (WITI) -- It was a bit of a stressful Sunday for Green Bay Packers fans, hoping for a victory over the Dallas Cowboys in a playoff matchup at Lambeau Field that would put the Pack one step closer to the Super Bowl.

Sunday was it for Titletown. The Packers had to win at home -- or they would be done for the season.

Fans at Lambeau Field Sunday hoped they would see a Packers victory -- that the green and gold would be the team hitting the road to take on Seattle in the NFC Championship game next Sunday.

"It’s just a lot of energy. You just get pumped up every time," Scott Dalton said.

“It’s one of the few places in the NFL where you still have the stadium within the city -- where the people are a part of it," Michael Johnson said.

It took Johnson six hours by car to be a part of it Sunday, and Dalton two hours and fifteen minutes.

Jared Hering sat in the car for three hours -- and for Kristi Steele, it was a ten-hour journey "home," to Lambeau Field one more time this season.

Johnson came to Lambeau Field from Superior with his pipes. He's been playing for beers for the last 20 years!

“You get your creativity out. I’ve been seeing stuff for years," Johnson said.

Fans say they're going to miss seeing their favorite team play at Lambeau Field, which is why they had to make sure to come out for Sunday's game to give their favorite team a warm send-off.

"This is it! This is why we are here," one fan said.

The Packers hit the road to take on the seattle Seahwaks in Seattle in the NFC Championship game next Sunday, January 18th. Kickoff is set for 2:00 p.m., and you’ll be able to see the game ONLY ON FOX6!
