Lambeau Field ready for Brett Favre's Hall of Fame Induction ceremony Saturday
GREEN BAY -- Fans attending the viewing of Brett Favre’s Hall of Fame Induction ceremony in the Lambeau Field seating bowl are being reminded of parking and safety tips, as well as the stadium’s carry-in policy and other important information to keep in mind for Saturday’s event.
Parking, priced at $4 and benefitting Favre 4 Hope, will be available beginning at 4:30 p.m. in the Lambeau Field lots located to the west and southwest of the stadium, off of Ridge Road and True Lane.
Gates to the seating areas will open at 5:15 p.m., with the exception of the Miller Lite Gate and American Family Insurance Gate, which will both be closed for the private induction ceremony event. Additionally, the Associated Bank Gate only will be used as an entrance for guests with disabilities.
Stadium concession stands will be open throughout the evening, and Favre is scheduled to make an appearance in the stadium bowl at 6:30 p.m., weather permitting. Following Favre’s appearance, the entirety of the induction ceremony taking place in the Atrium will be aired on the TundraVision video boards for the fans in the seating bowl to watch.
The Packers Pro Shop is stocked with a variety of Favre merchandise, including jerseys, commemorative footballs, a variety of men and women’s apparel, hats, drinkware and Favre memorabilia. The store will be open Saturday to guests at 9 a.m., with parking available near the main Pro Shop doors facing Lombardi Avenue.
The event will be held rain or shine, but with Saturday’s forecast calling for heat and the potential for severe weather, fans should prepare accordingly, dressing appropriately for the weather.
The same safety procedures in place during Packers gamedays also will be enforced for the induction ceremony viewing, including the no exit and re-entry policy. If a ticketed guest exits the stadium after their ticket has been scanned for entry, they will not be granted re-entry with the same ticket.
Guests will be allowed to carry in a clear bag that does not exceed 12” by 6” by 12”, or a one-gallon clear plastic bag. Small clutch purses that do not exceed 4.5” by 6.5” are permitted. Additional clothing, blankets, etc. are allowed inside if carried loosely or in an approved clear bag. Traditional stadium seats with backs and seat pads are permitted as long as they do not exceed 18” wide and contain no pockets, zippers or concealable areas. An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at the Special Exceptions Gate located on the north side of the stadium adjacent to the Miller Lite Gate.
Items not permitted to be carried into the stadium include umbrellas, firearms and other weapons, backpacks, coolers, strollers, duffel bags, large purses, fanny packs, obstructive banners and signs, food and beverages, noisemakers of any kind, selfie sticks, video cameras and still photo cameras with lenses over 12 inches.
For those without tickets to view the ceremony from the stadium bowl, the event will be broadcast live on the Packers TV Network and NFL Network, and live streaming will be offered on packers.com.
Lambeau Field Stadium Tours will be offered Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11:15 a.m., and the Lambeau Field Atrium will be closed to the public starting at 12 p.m. For more information on Saturday’s event, please visit packers.com/news-and-events/favre-event.html.
