Marquette picks up second Big East win
MILWAUKEE (WITI)-- The Marquette Golden Eagles are now 2-2 in the Big East after beating Seton Hall 67-66.
Guard Todd Mayo was the points leader on the day with 19 off the bench, going 9-9 in Free Throw attempts.
Jamil Wilson was solid with 16 points and 11 rebounds; his 1st double double of the season.
MU lead Seton Hall 40-26 at the half but the Pirates tested the Golden Eagles in the 2nd half. Sterling Gibbs nailed a 3 as the buzzer sounded but Marquette was able to hold onto a 67-66 win.
MU will take on Butler next Saturday at the Hinkle Fieldhouse.
