GREEN BAY -- It's your chance to meet Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers! The Packers announced the MVP will be signing autographs for fans Monday, December 12th in exchange for monetary donations to support the Salvation Army.
It's happening Monday, December 12th at 6:00 p.m. in the Lambeau Field Atrium.
According to a Green Bay Packers news release, fans are asked to donate a minimum of $100 per autograph to help the Salvation Army reach their donation goals for 2016.
Rodgers has pledged to MATCH each donation made during the weekly atrium autograph signings this holiday season -- DOUBLING the amount the Salvation Army receives during the signing events.
Another event fans may be interested in to help the Salvation Army: Packers Give Back Day at the Bay Park Square Mall -- set for Tuesday, December 13th. Packers employees will spend the day volunteering ringing bells at various locations throughout the mall and the Packers organization will match the funds raised.
The Green Bay Packers news release states: "The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle campaign is an important holiday tradition in the Green Bay community, as many of the organization’s programs operate only because of the money received through Red Kettle donations. All proceeds raised go toward aiding needy families, seniors, and the homeless in Green Bay."
Aaron Rodgers' autograph signing is limited to 200 people on first-come, first-served basis.
If you don't make it to the Aaron Rodgers autograph signing, additional Packers players will be signing autographs for visitors in the Lambeau Field Atrium the following Monday, December 19th. Names of those players will be announced next week.
