Milwaukee's Rufus King starts season 2-0, defeating Racine's Park High School 24-21
RACINE -- Racine's Park High School took on Milwaukee's Rufus King in Racine on Friday night, August 28th.
As Park led 6-0, Milwaukee King struck -- and who better than to let the butler do it.
Justice King found Royce Butler cutting across the middle, and after breaking a few tackles -- a 26-yard touchdown and it was 8-6 Generals.
Kellen Hargrove scrambled for a nice gain that set up a Panthers score late -- but it was too little, too late.
Rufus King starts the season 2-0, crowning host Park High School 24-21.
At halftime of the King vs. Park game, former Park High School and Green Bay Packers offensive lineman Kevin Barry had his jersey retired.
He was presented with a framed, #72 jersey.
Barry is now one of two former student-athletes the school has bestowed the honor upon.
Barry will be inducted into the Racine Athletic Hall of Fame in October.
"I mean, it was a great honor to be able to come back home and especially come back with my team playing and stuff, and see the support that Racine's given me for all these years. Just come back and show the honor for how much I represented the city and also Park High School," Barry said.
