Miserable May continues in Brewers 9-2 loss to L.A.
MILWAUKEE -- Wily Peralta gave up 6 runs, 4 earned, in just an inning and two-thirds, as the Brewers
suffered a 9-2 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers at Miller Park on Wednesday.
The defeat was Milwaukee's 17th in 21 games during the month of May.
It's no wonder Ryan Braun, a bright spot with a homer and a home run-saving catch, said: "It's been pretty terrible, Miserable. It's no fun playing like this. We're barely even competitive."
Starting pitching continues to be the primary reason that the Brewers are 9 games below 500, in and in last place in the National League Central Division.
Adding injury to insult, pitcher Kyle Lohse will miss his next start because of elbow soreness.
The Crew takes Thursday off before entertaining Pittsburgh on Friday night.
