No. 8 Villanova beat Marquette 73-56

PHILADELPHIA (WITI)-- Buzz Williams and the Golden Eagles couldn't stop Nova's Darrun Hilliard Sunday afternoon.

The Junior Guard had a career day, finishing with 26 points and 4 assists.

Marquette's starters barely combined for 17 points, relying heavily on bench players, Deonte Gardner and JaJuan Johnson. Gardner finished with 13 points and 4 steals. Johnson ended the game with 11 points and 5 rebounds.

Marquette is now 17-12 overall and 9-7 in the Big East. Nova is 26-3 and 14-2 in Conference.
