GREEN BAY (WITI) -- Curly's Pub, a popular dinner destination near the Green Bay Packers' Lambeau Field, may see an increase in dining traffic over the next month. Currently, the restaurant is pairing up with several Packer players - who will each create their own burger dish - in attempt to raise money for charity.
Among those participating include Packers Head Coach Mike McCarthy, along with the following players: Ryan Pickett, Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb, Aaron Rodgers and Clay Matthews.
The aim of the fundraiser is to pit the players' burger creations against each other in order to raise the most money. Each Packer will create their own special burger and have a designated week for it to be sold. Only 500 burgers will be sold each week and a portion of the proceeds will then go to the players' charity of their choosing. The most popular dish will receive an extra donation for their charity.
The charity competition began the last week of August and will end Saturday, Sept. 7th.
McCarthy's own concoction, nicknamed the 'Mac Attack,' is no longer available to purchase, but the chance to buy a burger creation by Pickett, Nelson, Cobb, Rodgers or Matthews still stands.
Though most of the players think they have a winner with their own recipe, ultimately the dish most purchased will take home the prize.
The Curly Pub's schedule for the player's burgers is as follows:
