Packers fans, get excited! Pep rally Thursday at Lambeau ahead of NFC Championship game!
GREEN BAY (WITI) -- Packers fans are invited to bring their energy and excitement for Sunday’s Packers-Seahawks NFC Championship game to the Tundra Tailgate Zone (TTZ) in Lambeau Field’s east side parking lot for a free pep rally on Thursday, January 15th.
The festivities will begin at 6:00 p.m., and the TTZ will be open for fans starting at 5:00 p.m., where food and beverages provided by Saz’s will be available for purchase.
TV screens at the event will show Packers game highlights from this past season, and attendees will have the opportunity to receive several fan giveaways. The event will be modeled after Packers Everywhere pep rallies, which are hosted at select away game locations each season.
Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy will take part in the activities, as well as Wayne Larrivee, the radio voice of the Packers, who will emcee the event. Packers guard Josh Sitton and tight end Andrew Quarless will attend the pep rally, as well as Packers alumni Antonio Freeman (1995-2001) and Doug Evans (1993-97).
Also at the pep rally, Packers.com editor Vic Ketchman and senior writer Mike Spofford will join Larrivee to preview Sunday’s NFC Championship game. Following the rally, the players and alumni will sign autographs in the Packers Pro Shop, and the TTZ is set to close at 7:30 p.m.
“We are so proud of how well the Packers have played this year, and the tremendous support from our fans has been a huge part of that, both at home games and on the road. This pep rally will give us the opportunity to share our excitement and extend our support for the Packers in the NFC Championship game," Gabrielle Dow, Packers vice president of marketing and fan engagement said.
